About Me

Hi, I’m Michelle and I am a qualified,  professional counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

I am based in North Somerset, working in Weston-super-Mare (BS22)

During the past 6 years, I have worked as a counsellor in private, voluntary sector and educational settings. This has given me broad experience of working with clients from a variety of backgrounds, age groups and from many walks of life.

I have a specific interest and experience of working with adults and young people with Autism, Asperger's and learning differences amongst other challenges.

I also welcome clients that live with physical disabilities, health conditions or suffer with chronic pain.

Following a serious road traffic accident (21 years ago) I have personal experience of living with a long term physical disability. I have also lived with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), and know that reaching out and seeking the right support, life can improve and things will get better.

Alongside my private practice I currently provide specialist individually tailored one to one support to students in higher education helping them address barriers to learning, created by a particular impairment, e.g. mental health issue and/or autistic spectrum condition.

I offer short and long term counselling and work with young people (11 years and up) and adults of all ages.
